Scope Terminology

Adjustable Objective (aka A.O.)

Provides you with the ability to fine tune the front objective. Maximizing target clarity and focus, while also correcting parallax error.

Coated Optics

Multi-coated optics provide less light loss and reduce glare from reflection, providing less eye strain.

Durable Construction

Our scopes are designed to withstand the toughest of elements using high-durability aluminum alloy and anodized finish, providing a rifle scope that is virtually rust and scratch proof.

Exit Pupil

The size of the column of light that exits the eyepiece of the scope. The greater the size of the exit pupil the brighter the image. Divide the objective lens diameter by the power to determine the exit pupil (4x32 has an exit pupil of 8mm)

Eye Relief

The distance the scope is held from the eye while still providing a full field of view. Our scopes are equipped with soft and durable eyepiece guards for increased eye protection.

Magnification (aka Power)

The first series of numbers followed by an x (6x32, 3-9x42). A 6 power scope would present the object to be 6 times closer.

Objective Lens

The diameter of the front lens measured in millimeters. Following the scope formula the numbers after the (x) determine the size of the objective (3-9x42)

Ocular Lens

To maintain crystal clear clarity thes scopes are nitrogen purged to prevent internal moisture. O-rings are then used to seal out any dust or moisture form entering. Providing a waterproof and fog proof optic.

Power Ring (zoom models only)

Allows you to select the power you wish to use. For example: you can go from 3 to 6 powers by just sliding the power ring on a 3-9 power scope, allowing quick magnification adjustment.

Windage / Elevation Turret

The windage turret (left to right) is located on the side of the scope, the elevation turret (up & down) is located on the top of the scope. all scopes feature either ½, ¼ or ⅛ M.O.A. adjustments (at 100 yards)
